On August 9, 2019, fifteen students from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) successfully defended their research projects at King’s College of London (KCL) as part of the SUSTech-KCL summer exchange program and received their certification of completion with high marks.

This is the first overseas exchange program for biomedical sciences undergraduate students from SUSTech Medical School.  It gives opportunities for students to study and do research in an internationally renowned university for life sciences and medicine. The SUSTech School of Medicine selected 15 top students from biomedical sciences major to partake in the exchange, along with faculty members.

Professor Richard Trembath, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at KCL, welcomed all the SUSTech representatives and praised the students’ accomplishments. SUSTech Professor Zhang Jian thanked KCL for excellent program preparation and congratulated the students for their efforts.
