Currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute of Frontier Biotechnology and a Guest Independent Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Germany. Graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2012 and conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing from 2014 to 2023. His research focuses on intestinal metabolism and immune homeostasis in ageing, with a particular interest in the biological mechanisms underlying sex differences and responses to ageing intervention. Based on these insights, he works on the development of precision anti-ageing natural products and pharmaceuticals.
He has published extensively in leading journals, including Nature, Nature Aging, eLife, PNAS and Aging. His research on the "Rapamycin Anti-Ageing Trilogy" was selected as a 2022 Research Highlight by the Max Planck Society. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Longevity Development Committee of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and is a Youth Editorial Board Member of Life Medicine. In addition, he is a peer reviewer for prestigious journals, including eLife, EMBO Reports, and Science Advances.
His drug screening platform for ageing-related diseases won first place at the 2022 LongHack International Anti-Ageing Entrepreneurship Competition and was subsequently selected for incubation by the Max Planck Innovation in 2023, securing multi-million-funding.
