个人简介

Dr. Lin Wang is currently tenured associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and attending spinal surgeon at International Orthopaedic Center, SUSTech Hospital. Dr. Wang graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University with honors in 2000. He received his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Xijing Hospital, where he also completed a pediatric and adult spinal surgery fellowship. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Yun-yu Hu at PLA institute of orthopaedics, Xijing Hospital, Xi’an, in 2008. He remained at Washington University School of Medicine as a visiting research scholar in 2012, under the tutelage of Dr. Lawrence G. Lenke, president of the Scoliosis Research Society 2010-2011, one of the world's foremost leaders in complex spinal deformity surgery. Dr. Wang remained at Xijing Hospital as an attending spinal surgeon, appointed as supervisor for candidates of master degree in orthopaedic surgery in 2015 and promoted to associated professor in 2016. As an academic spinal surgeon, His research has focus on the precise surgical treatment of pediatric and adult patients with various forms of spinal anomalies, in particular, on such spinal deformities as scoliosis, kyphosis, high-grade spondylolisthesis, and major coronal and sagittal malalignment. Dr. Wang also worked on bioreactor, 3D dynamic cell culture, biological behavior of 3D printed scaffold as bone graft under diabetes conditions, as well as other factors about reconstruction of segmental bone defect in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine field.
